Josh Sheehan Wins Red Bell X Fighters With Double Backflip!
Australia’s newest Freestyle Motocross superstar, Josh Sheehan, won his first major international competition at his home-nation Red Bull X-Fighters final round, held on Cockatoo Island, Sydney, Australia on Saturday afternoon.
Sheehan defied the odds after almost crashing earlier in his semi-final, to quickly turn his mistake into a career defining moment when he executed a perfect Double Backflip in his Semi-Final round against eventual 2011 Tour winner, Dany Torres to set himself up with a Final round against New Zealand’s Levi Sherwood, where he would go on to win.

Australian Freestyle MX sensation Josh Sheehan has capped a stellar month of competition wins in Europe with his sixth consecutive win in the IFMXF Night of the Jumps in Russia, and in less than a week had signed on with Red Bull and finished in 3rd place at the Red Bull X-Fighters in Roma, Italy.

Australian Freestyle Motocross star Josh Sheehan has continued his current winning form in the IFMXF Night of the Jumps 2011 with yet another win in Munich, Germany on Saturday night, which takes his tally to four consecutive wins, one away from the record of 5 consecutive wins held by Remi Bizouard in 2009.
The Carlton Dry Honda FMX team and Valyside Apparel rider, Sheehan dominated the Munich round after qualifying in first place and then taking out the Best Whip competition with his trademark upside-down whips on the 450cc machine.

The competition was fierce at the New Zealand Freestyle MotoX championship series for the 2010 title. The FMX Battle line up of NZ and Australian riders fought hard over the two-round series with Australian Steve Mini coming out on top in both the Wanganui and Tauranga events, achieving the overall title.

Steve Mini continued the great tradition of only the finest FMX riders in the Southern Hemisphere by winning the Narrogin Rev Heads Australian FMX Championships for 2010.
With the best course, good prizemoney and sheer prestige the Rev Heads event has continued to be the event to win in Australia. Previous winners include Rob Adelberg (twice), Cam Sinclair and Levi Sherwood.
