Backyard Battles at Lancelin Dunes

Story by Holtzy photos by Mass Productions

The first leg of the “Backyard Battles” series went down in the sand dunes of Lancelin just north of Perth. A truckload of riders braved the heat, wind and long weekend madness to carve the shit out of the endless pristine white dunes.

There was some good stacks including Steve Sommerfelds epic (see video) and a heap of classics in the hunt for the best dune carve. It was a case of don’t fall off because if you did the rest of the riders lined you up for a heavy sand roost while you were down.

HGMtv East Coast Road Trip

Beware the East Coast of Australia for the madness of HGMtv is coming to your side for an extended road trip. A whole stack of epic FMX, Skate, BMX, Surf and Wakeboard shoots have been lined up over the next month or so right up the eastern seaboard.

Log in regularly onto to get updates of all the blood, sweat and tears shed along the way. This is some of the last filming for the first series of HGMtv so if you want to be involved you better let us know your brand of mayhem soon.

It's going to be a nuts couple of weeks.

HGMtv Goes To Air on Fuel TV in 2009

After a couple of years of hard work the crew at HomeGrown Maniacs have succeeded in getting a 13 episode contract with Foxtel and Austar channel Fuel tv to be screened in 2009. Fuel have long needed some good hardcore underground Australian extreme sport content and HGMtv is just the right show for the job.

Story by Bushy and Holtzy

HGMtv presenter Justin "Bushy" Bush is always in the thick of the action. Life's never boring in Bushy's world even when he's having a quiet one at home. I'll let him take up the story:
